sarah templeCongratulations to Mathematics Teacher Sarah Temple who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Region 4 Outstanding Secondary New Teacher and one of the six finalists for the FCPS Outstanding Secondary New Teacher at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.

How does a mathematics teacher become a vibrant and innovative standout to her school, her peers, and her students? This is the energy that Ms. Temple brings to her classroom every day. Her passion for math creates a world where everyone can gain an understanding of the true workings of math and move forward with a renewed idea that they can be “math people” too. Charismatic and funny, Sarah provides her students with a safe and trusted environment where math is connected to real-world experiences, pushing students to think critically. In just her second year of teaching Sarah teaches honors-level Precalculus and AP Statistics, as well as mentors the Math Honors Society and Math Lab.
