The FCPS Office of School Safety and Wellness will be hosting a pyramid-wide event for our FCPS parents/guardians titled "Preparing Families for Difficult Conversations about Alcohol and Drugs." Please see the attached information regarding this South County pyramid event scheduled for Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the Lecture Hall of South County Middle School, 6-8 PM. *This is an Adults only event.

High school students can join us for our upcoming regional career exploration event and participate in live virtual sessions held every night from Monday, February 13, through February 16. Students will learn about a wide variety of potential career paths and post-secondary options that will prepare them for the next chapter of their educational journey.

FCPS high school academies will hold open houses for interested students beginning in mid-January. A high school academy is a center within a high school that offers advanced technical and specialized courses that can prepare students for postsecondary education and/or career fields. Students enrolling in Academy elective courses will be provided with opportunities to participate in a variety of career experiences including shadowing, mentoring, and/or internships with local businesses.
