On February 22, musicians from across the state of Virginia audition for placement in the prestigious All-State ensembles.  This is a highly competitive audition and only the best musicians in the state are selected for this honor. 

Congratulations to the four South County instrumentalists who were selected for this year's All-Virginia ensembles:

• Elena Kim – English Horn, Symphonic Band
• Vanya Balakersky – Trumpet, Symphonic Band
• Yasha Balakersky – Percussion, Concert Band
