Outstanding DECA Performance

Please help us congratulate the outstanding performance of South County DECA at the 2018 Virginia DECA State Leadership Conference with over 3,000 competitors that was held on March 3-5, 2018! The wind blew our South County DECA Chapter into Virginia Beach where they were awarded many times throughout the weekend! We are thrilled to say that teacher Kellen Scott received an Outstanding Advisor award and recognition as the Chairperson for the Virginia DECA Board of Trustees. 

Here are some impressive numbers on SoCo’s results:

• 32 Stallions received medals in either their Role Play(s), Test, or overall performance. That is 50% of our competitors who were recognized for their efforts!

• 52 total medals were won by our chapter as many students received awards in multiple areas. 34 medals were awarded to our team on Saturday night and 18 were awarded on Sunday morning.

• 20 Stallions qualified for DECA's International Career Development Conference and competition in Atlanta, Georgia April 20-25, 2018 and they are listed below:
