SCHS students joined teachers and students from North America and Europe to attend a 3 day Leadership Conference in Berlin, Germany. David Long, Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher and CTE Chair, at South County High School, was one of the coordinators and chaperones that assisted this small group of students. Former Marketing teacher and CTE chair, Kellen Scott attended as well. Students heard from world-renowned speakers on "The Impact of Sports & Wellness"  and attended expert-led workshops. The conference helped students develop skills like creativity and collaboration as they worked in small international teams to propose solutions to a global challenge.

Using design thinking, students prototyped real solutions for real global challenges. The winning project earned a place in the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, Sweden alongside generations of Nobel Laureates. One of our students, Sarah Peckham, was a member of the winning team whose prototype will be featured in the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. Congratulations to Sarah and her team on this great accomplishment. 

Before attending the Leadership Conference, students did a tour of Greece. It was an incredible experience for everyone.
