SCHS Students Exemplify SCHS Core Values

The South County High School Vision and Mission Statements stem from our Core Values of Honesty, Trust, Curiosity, and Hope. At South County, we strive to have Honesty and Trust for ourselves and others, so we may have Curiosity and Hope for our futures. Each month, students are nominated for demonstrating one or more of our Core Values. See what all of our amazing students are doing here.

Each month, staff members will nominate students who exhibit our core values of Honesty, Trust, Curiosity, and Hope. Students that were nominated in August and September were the following:

The following students demonstrated hope in their support of our Stallion Pantry and Food For Neighbors. Eshaan, Harry, Muhtasim, Jack, Luke, and Christian all gave up their time on a Saturday morning to volunteer with the Stallion Pantry and Food For Neighbors to help families in our area that may be experiencing food insecurities. It was heartwarming to see these students help our school and our community and make a positive impact at SCHS.

Aditya was recognized for demonstrating honesty. He has shown honesty in all situations in class. He has a strong sense of personal ethics regarding honesty!

Neveah is being recognized for demonstrating Curiosity. Mr. Canard notes that Neveah could be checked for all four core values that South County students try to display; however, if he had to pick just one it would be curiosity. She is fearless when it comes to the classroom and she jumps right in to interact with her peers and the teachers. Neveah is a role model student in the classroom that sets a great example for her peers.

Jesse was recognized for demonstrating trust. Ms. Veiga-Nielsen noted that Jesse is a natural leader and has taken on the responsibility in class to remind students about classroom procedures, helping other students feel empowered and thus, building trust with his peers and teachers!

Jeremiah is being recognized for demonstrating trust. Ms. Irish notes that he has shown trustworthiness in several ways and he has been an active and supporting classmate!

Hannah is being recognized for demonstrating hope. She is dedicated, trustworthy, and caring. Ms. Hill notes that Hannah pulled her aside to check in and see how she was doing. Ms. Hill was so appreciative of her check-in and knows that Hannah will continue to spread hope to others through her actions.

Hamza is being recognized for demonstrating hope. Ms. Dillard notes that he is always friendly and encouraging to fellow students and his teachers. He is always polite and truly embodies one stallion with his friendly behavior.

Demari is being recognized for demonstrating hope. Ms. Hill discovered the Demari goes into her room every morning before the students and removes all the chairs from the tables and sets up the room. He inspires his teacher with his selfless acts and his hope to make everyone’s day better.
