About Mr. Gildea

Mr. Gildea begins his first year as Dean of Students at South County High School. He brings 15 years of experience in FCPS, including teaching Math, Health and PE, serving as Assistant DSA, and coaching basketball. 

Originally from Pennsylvania, Mr. Gildea graduated from Penn State in 2009 and received his Masters in School Leadership from George Mason in 2017. He enjoys time with his wife and 3 boys, trying new foods, and doing activities outdoors. He's ready to bring his experience and passion to his new role at South County and help all students succeed.
