The Family Liaison helps to build the bridge between the culture at home and the culture at school. Children from diverse cultural backgrounds tend to do better when parents and professionals collaborate to bridge this gap. In addition, the Family Liaison connects families to  resources and services they need to thrive .

• Padres Latinos organization - Edison High School: This is an organization composed of parents and families of Edison HS students whose goal is to get more involved and participate in their child's school activities and education. South County parents and families have been invited to participate in their monthly meetings. Many topics will be discussed such as how attendance works in FCPS, using Schoology, overview of the World language program, and more. The organization meets once a month on Saturday, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Edison HS cafeteria. The dates for upcoming meetings are the following:
