About Mr. Mims

Mr. Mims is in his 4th school year at South County High School as the Systems of Support Advisor (SOSA). He began his career as a Social Studies teacher in Tallahassee, FL. Mr. Mims has teaching and leadership experiences from West Potomac High School and Annandale High School.

Mr. Mims is from Prince Georges County, Maryland. He graduated from Daytona State College and Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. He earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida A&M University. In Mr. Mims’ spare time, he enjoys spending time with his mentees, jet-setting, playing tennis, cycling, and hiking. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
