About Ms. Beskenis

Ms. Beskenis is excited to join the administrative team at South County High School, supporting the Math, CTE, and Fine Arts departments. She spent the majority of her career as an English teacher at McLean High School before transitioning to an assistant principal at Oakton High School in 2021.
Ms. Beskenis is originally from Hampton, Virginia and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. She earned her Master of Teaching and certification in Administration and Supervision from UVA as well. When she’s not at school, Ms. Beskenis enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling with her husband and son.

Ms. Beskenis’s passion for centering and empowering student voice has been a primary driver throughout her career, and she is thrilled to bring that passion to the South County family as the newest assistant principal.
