SoCo Band, Choir and Orchestras all earned Superior Ratings at VMEA State Assessment in March and have earned the VMEA Blue Ribbon award.

Community members young and old are invited to come out on Wednesday, December 13 at 7PM for an evening of holiday fun featuring some recognizable characters. The SCHS Band, Choir, Orchestra and Theatre members are sure to have you clapping and singing along at this fun, upbeat performance.

The SoCo Orchestras from our pyramid Elementary, Middle and High schools performed the annual Masquerade Concert on Thursday, 10/26. It was a packed house (and stage) with over 300 students participating.

On Saturday, October 28th, the Marching Stallions traveled to Lynchburg to compete in the VMBC State Championships Event. The group placed 2nd in their preliminary group out of 8 groups, taking home the caption awards for best percussion and best colorguard. Congratulations to the band on a great end to their season!

South County High School guitar students participated in the 1000 Global Guitar Ensemble as part of the World Culture Festival on the National Mall in Washington DC on Friday, September 29.

The SCHS Marching Band competed on Saturday, September 30 in the Herndon Classic  at Herndon High School. The band took 3rd place and Best Percussion.

On Saturday, June 3, a reception was given to honor and showcase talented artists (Kindergarten - 12th Grade) from our South County Pyramid. Artwork will be on display from May 27 - June 11.

David Griffith, art student at South County High School, becomes a 2023 National Medalist at the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. He received 2 medals for his Digital Art Submissions, "Disconnected" and "Safety On."

These South County High School musicians were selected to perform at the State and National level.
